An annual well-child visit can help keep your child healthy! Data shows that healthy children tend to earn better grades, attend school more often and display more positive behaviors in class.
Why are well-child visits important?
- Prevention – to ensure your child is healthy & stays healthy, which includes getting recommended immunizations.
- Tracking Growth & Development – Track your child’s growth & discuss age-appropriate milestones.
- Raising Concerns – share any concerns you have regarding your child.

COVID-19 Vaccine Resources for Schools
The following toolkit was developed to provide Missouri schools with easily accessible information regarding the setup and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible children. Schools are a place where children feel safe and secure. Providing the COVID-19 vaccine in the school setting is a way to ensure all children have access to this safe option for protecting against the virus. While we do not recommend a one-size fits all approach for every school, we want to highlight the strategies that exist for schools that wish to pursue vaccination on the school campus and provide other COVID-related resources as well.
