MOAAP, Children’s Mercy Hospital, and the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (MO DHSS) are committed to supporting the health and well-being of Missouri children by providing school health professionals with essential resources and education.
As part of this shared commitment, school nurses and other health professionals can request emergency medications—such as EpiPens and albuterol prescriptions, along with related education and support—by completing the Children’s Mercy request form here:

This collaboration reflects a continued investment in equipping schools with the tools and clinical guidance needed to manage student health emergencies and chronic conditions effectively.

This toolkit was developed to provide Missouri schools with communications materials to remind families about the importance of scheduling their children’s well-child visits and speaking with their child’s pediatrician about all immunizations. Please visit healthychildren.org for a schedule of well-child care visits and an abundance of children’s health information. We hope you find this toolkit helpful as you work to ensure a healthy school community.
COVID-19 Vaccine Resources for Schools
The following toolkit was developed to provide Missouri schools with easily accessible information regarding the setup and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible children. Schools are a place where children feel safe and secure. Providing the COVID-19 vaccine in the school setting is a way to ensure all children have access to this safe option for protecting against the virus. While we do not recommend a one-size fits all approach for every school, we want to highlight the strategies that exist for schools that wish to pursue vaccination on the school campus and provide other COVID-related resources as well.
